GVR Fueling Site Safety Certification Requirement
Subject: GVR Fueling Site Safety Certification Requirement
Attn: NEE Service Managers, NEE Service Admin Staff and DSS Subcontractors
Please note that effective January 1, 2015 Gilbarco will no longer process payment for a warranty claim if a technician was not safety certified at the time the work was done. When technicians call Gilbarco to check in they will be advised if their safety certification has expired, as well as any other applicable certifications (for example Dispensing Systems or Passport). Technicians must NOT proceed with the work until their certifications are up-to-date or payment will not be made for the call. All dispatched SRs currently indicate which technicians meet the necessary requirements to complete a call and ensure payment for a warranty claim.
Certification in the GVR Fueling Site Safety is already mandatory for all technicians, as well as administrative staff who have been issued tech numbers in order to submit warranty claims. If you have a Gilbarco tech number, you are expected to always have a current safety certification. Enrollment in this course is free and is available through the ‘Self enrollment’ tab on the WISE site (http://wise.gilbarco.com). Instructions on how to enroll are attached here.
Please see the attached letter from Gilbarco for further details on this issue. If you have any questions please contact your local NEE service office.
Best regards,
