Territory Manager – HVAC Division

Location: Central & Northern Ontario

What a time to be working in HVAC! With the electrification of our nation upon us, the opportunities for moving away from fossil fuel in space heating are staggering. Residentially, the current Greener Homes policy has initiated a real movement amongst Ontarians to reduce our carbon footprint. Commercially, only the tip of the iceberg is exposed; there will be thousands of buildings looking to reduce their dependance on fossil fuels.

National Energy Equipment Inc is Canadian owned and operated, with branches across the country. We are a diversified company, consisting of HVAC, Hearth, Automation, EV, Propane, Petroleum and Service departments.

Our HVAC department is multi-faceted. We are the distributor of Trane Residential and Light Commercial Product in Ontario. Our offering runs the gamut: Heat Pumps (Ductless, DHW and Central), Furnaces, Air Conditioners, Hydronics, IAQ products and accessories. We manage the Home Depot HVAC program across the country. Our sales team is a cohesive and high-energy group.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

A good TM works with our dealers to make their business experience with us effortless. You will be the middle ground between our operation and the client. You will facilitate sales training, new product releases and support for all that we sell. You will work with our existing customer base, but also seek out opportunities to grow responsibly, with the right partners. You will work closely with the owners, managers, salespeople, technicians and administrative staff of your accounts. Your success is dependent upon your ability to work with the existing HVAC sales team at NEE, helping to bridge the gap between customers’ needs and the best resolutions possible.

You must be able to budget effectively, present professionally, quote correctly, respond promptly and execute on time. We strive to be the best in class and require our new TM to do the same. Endeavors to optimize the existing customer base and grow the territory will be your top priority. You must identify market opportunities, qualify potential customer needs, tailor your services specifically to each customer and be in the field having face-to-face interactions regularly.

Pro-active communication with management regarding customer concerns and changing inventory requirements is required. Competitive research is always welcomed. As Territory Managers, our jobs are constantly evolving. Remaining competitive and achieving margin expectations is possible for those who remain diligent. Participation in Trade Shows, Dealer Incentive Trips (International), Sales Conferences and Training Sessions are all key components of this job. In addition to dealer interactions, our TMs liaise with Home Depot Store Management and train Home Depot Store Associates.
