Architecture & Design Coordinator – Hearth Specialty Products

Position Overview

The Architecture & Design Coordinator – Hearth Specialty Products is a key member of our sales team, responsible for supporting and growing our premium and custom fireplace lines. This role serves as a technical resource, sales liaison, and relationship builder—working closely with dealers, manufacturers, and the design community to secure specifications and drive sales opportunities.

This position is ideal for a highly organized, relationship-driven professional who understands the premium building products market and has the confidence to consult with architects, interior designers, builders, and design engineers.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Promote and sell premium luxury fireplace product lines across Canada.
  • Generate leads and build a pipeline of opportunities within residential, commercial, and custom-build sectors.
  • Conduct product presentations, showroom visits, lunch-and-learns, and virtual demos with dealers and design professionals.
  • Support territory sales teams with major project quotes, design reviews, and high-value opportunities.
  • Track projects from initial concept through installation, ensuring follow-through and client satisfaction.

Dealer & Manufacturer Support

  • Collaborate with our regional territory managers and manufacturers regarding product information, custom requests, availability, pricing, and timelines.
  • Coordinate technical details and ensure smooth communication throughout the order and project lifecycle.
  • Work with manufacturer reps to maintain accurate product knowledge and stay updated on new releases and innovations.

Technical Support

  • Provide technical guidance on installation requirements, venting, framing, clearances, and product compatibility.
  • Review architectural drawings, site plans, and specifications to ensure product feasibility.
  • Troubleshoot product and installation issues in collaboration with technical and service teams.
  • Interpret and present product specs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Design Community Outreach

  • Build strong relationships with architects, interior designers, design-build firms, and engineers.
  • Encourage and secure the specification of premium fireplace products in upcoming projects.
  • Support design professionals with drawings, BIM files, documentation, and technical resources.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and design expos to network and showcase products.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in sales, project coordination, or technical support—preferably in building products, HVAC, fireplaces, or construction materials.
  • Strong understanding of architectural drawings, building codes, and basic construction principles.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to speak confidently to both technical and design-forward audiences.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage several projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with CRM software, MS Office, and basic design file formats (PDF, CAD, etc.).
  • Ability to travel nationally as needed.
  • French proficiency highly preferred, but not required
