NEW REQUIREMENTS FOR MEASURING DEVICE OWNERS
Periodic measuring device inspections are mandatory to sell fuels. Traders who use measuring devices like a gas pump, bulk loading rack, fuel delivery truck and commercial card-lock in their business, need to know about changes to the Weights and Measures Act and Regulations. These changes mean traders must have their devices regularly inspected by a Measurement Canada Authorized Service Provider (ASP). Businesses that do not comply with these new requirements may be subject to penalties.
